Background
Art is a diverse range of human activities and the products of those activities.
Art is a tool that can be implemented to children to develop their critical thinking. Critical thinking is an active, purposeful, organized, and cognitive process to fabricate an invention.
So that, art can be realized in any school subject.
Every child has different ways to express their art. Children can develop their sense of expression, communication and creativity through arts.
BINUS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL Serpong would like to provide parents a workshop “Helping Your Child Develop Critical Thinking Skill through Arts”. BIS Serpong would like to invite Mr Johanes Nugroho from WowART Learning Studio Indonesia to provide information for parents.
This workshop will enhance parents’ knowledge that art nurtures a child’s imagination, versatility, self-awareness, motivation, confidence and independence.

1.To improve parents knowledge about art
2.To improve the parents knowledge about right – left brain correlation
3.To let parents know how to improve their child critical thinking, confidence and
independence through arts
4. To motivate children to express their views on various topics and themes through arts
5. To allow children to create and develop their critical thinking through arts

Participants for this workshop 2013 will be all parents from ECY / EL. Students can join the coloring and drawing competition after they are dismissed from class.
